And 'WIKIMEDIA - COMMONS' is one such another platform from the platter of Wiki Technologies. Just like its sibling- 'WIKIPEDIA', it also aims to provide multitude of information uploaded, managed and shared through the 'Open Source' criteria.
Wikimedia Commons, the free media repository, is today a database of about more than 12 million freely usable Media files (Images · Sounds · Videos) that are available for free use by one and all provided users follow the general terms specified by the author as well as Open Source/ Creative Commons fundamentals.
