Can super fancy & super luxury homes prove to be ideal, comfortable, liveable homes?

The age old adage says... "if Christmas isn't found in your heart, you won't find it under a tree". Similarly, if a house isn't able to provide its owners the warmth & comfort of being-in-there day & night and through all the seasons & unconditional reasons, it can't simply be called a 'home'.

In plain words, a 'home' is nothing but a place where one can feel the warmth being there, and where the heart & mind of people staying coexist in near-perfect harmony.

One may think where has this question ('Does super fancy & super luxury homes prove to be ideal liveable homes?') popped up from, today all of a sudden?

The topic came forth in our informal discussion today afternoon when one of our fellows exclaimed how happy she would be if she happen to own a big home like Mukesh & Nita Ambani's (India's richest family) 'ANTILIA' or like much rumored Sachin Tendulkar's (India's, and perhaps world's, best cricket sportsperson till date) 'SHELL HOUSE', both located in India's commercial hub, Mumbai.

While no conclusion could arise out of an hour long impromptu debate/ discussion that embarked among us on this topic, the question still remain hovering in our head while at work @BricksnMortar Edesk.

No wonder, money can buy and create amazing buildings and structures and monuments. Though these buildings can create huge amount of buzz and awe around them, but they seldom can provide the warmth of a heartfelt place called 'home'.

Given a chance, ask these very people who own such marvelous and pricey real-estate wonders of concrete, bricks and mortar whether they feel calm and relaxed while being there purposely for rest and good night's sleep? Staying there might bring feelgood factor of owning such wonderful pieces of architecture, construction and finishing, but perhaps not the eternal bliss that one can find even in simple four walls & a plain roof.

What do you think on this topic? What's your say? Let us know by means of comments to this post if you feel like sharing your views.
