Good work, positive initiatives and beneficial material should ideally always be motivated and shared with family, friends, peers and all.

And 'WIKIMEDIA - COMMONS' is one such another platform from the platter of Wiki Technologies. Just like its sibling- 'WIKIPEDIA', it also aims to provide multitude of information uploaded, managed and shared through the 'Open Source' criteria.

Wikimedia Commons, the free media repository, is today a database of about more than 12 million freely usable Media files (Images · Sounds · Videos) that are available for free use by one and all provided users follow the general terms specified by the author as well as Open Source/ Creative Commons fundamentals.

Purpose of this post is to inform the subscribers, patrons, readers and visitors of this blog-- who are interested in Civil engineering, Architecture, Lifestyle, Home improvement, etc. related information in terms of pictures, lectures and videos-- that they may use Wikimedia Commons to enhance there knowledge or simply to know more about things relating to these fields. They are also advised to contribute their respective original & genuine submissions to the foundation.

After all, knowledge shared is knowledge enhanced :-)
